The 2025 programs offered a unique and challenging journey for members to learn and explore with needle and thread. The workshops featured techniques that included beading, smocking, wool applique, and silk ribbon embroidery, along with projects that utilized traditional materials in new ways. The August workshop used very colorful and unusual Victorian doll art prints and trims for hand-sewing unique dolls, and the November workshops featured Italian embroidery on linen and blackwork shading on canvas.

The 2025 evening lectures featured a local professor and art quilter giving her new presentation entitled “Just Sew Stories” in June, and an update on the Manor House Textile Conservation efforts in September. The Conservation Committee provides another special way in which members can learn and apply their skills with needle and thread.

In addition to the normal monthly workshops on second Tuesdays, the Guild coordinated an ongoing stitch-along opportunity for members to work on a beautiful band sampler. The project kicked off as an April mini workshop and then additional sessions were held on third Tuesdays following the bimonthly Guild Board and Stitchery Showcase meetings.

2025 was a great year for learning, creating, volunteering and enjoying the company of other stitchers.
